Looking for a great place to get away from it all, but still within a 45 minute drive to downtown San Jose? "La Finca" may be the place for you. Owned by Leigh Ann and Madison Cloutier, La Finca sits in the mountains above San Jose near the Irazu Volcano. The temperature ranges from the 70’s in the day to the 60’s at night, and the views boast some of the most incredible sunsets to the twinkling lights below in the Central Valley.

The Farm has comfortable rustic accommodations. A one bedroom apartment with en suite hot water shower, bedroom with four bunk beds, a kitchenette with gas stove and ice chest, a living and dining area with fold out sleeper, and a beautiful deck for relaxing.

There are horses available for you to ride to Llano Grande, Rancho Redondo, Parque Prussia, or just to the top of the hill and back. The resident family will assist you with saddling the horses and will ride with you if you want a guide.

Laura will cook for you if you provide the food. The kitchenette at La Finca is full equipped with dishes, pots, pans, etc. There are good restaurants in Coronado, just a 15 minute drive away. Bed linens and towels are provided. There is no T.V.

From La Finca, you can easily visit Cartago, Lancaster Gardens, The Aerial Tram, and Braulio Carillo National Park. The area is excellent for horse riding, mountain biking, and hiking. You are surrounded by dairy, flower, potato and other types of farms.
