Hacienda Baru is a privately owned National Wildlife Refuge on the Southern Pacific Coast of Costa Rica with cabins, restaurant, and nature-oriented tours and adventures. Experience the full spectrum of the tropics from the majestic heights of the tropical forest canopy all the way down to the vast Pacific beach and mangroves. Hacienda Baru has a marvelous diversity for active travelers of all ages. Our mission is to preserve the Hacienda's natural resources while educating visitors about its biological wealth. In carrying this out, Hacienda Baru provides nature-oriented tours, adventures and services, and supports both local scientific research and responsible community development.

The six guest cabins offer a beautiful view of the forest and are within a short walk of the beach. Each cabin is secure and has two doubles and one single bed, a kitchenette, bathroom with hot water shower, fans, lock box, and a refrigerator. A wonderful Continental breakfast is included. The restaurant also serves typical Costa Rican meals and beverages.
