Makanda offers contemporary Villas and Studios in a quiet jungle setting with a sunset ocean view. You can enjoy butterfly, bird and monkey watching right from your own terrace or by the pool. The jungle trail to our secluded beach is also excellent for monkey and sloth sightings. The property is located 1000 meters from the main road, halfway between Quepos and Manuel Antonio National Park.

The large Villa offers Villa 1 and Studios 2, 3 & 4. It is unique in that these rooms may remain private, or may be interconnected in various combinations by way of gardens, patios and stairways, perfect for needs of groups of up to 8 people. All rooms offer large private bathrooms with hot water showers.

Villa 1 is one thousand square feet with a large Japanese Garden, and impress open air design.

The fully equipped kitchen features a stove/oven and a refrigerator/freezer.The Villa is furnished with a king size bed, a large sofa and dining area. The hammock will keep you comfortable while enjoying the spectacular view.

Studios 2 & 4 are located below and to either side of Villa 1. They both feature a fully equipped kitchenette, a king size bed, large sofa, balcony, air conditioning, private entrance, and a small Japanese Garden.

Studio 3 is located directly below Villa 1, between 2 & 4. It features a fully equipped kitchenette, king size bed, lounge chairs, air conditioning, private entrance and terrace.

Villa 5 is an individual unit of nine hundred square feet. It features a fully equipped kitchen with stove/oven and refrigerator/freezer. The Villa is furnished with a king size bed, large sofa, and a small separate bedroom with a single bed. The dining area seats four. In addition, it offers a large balcony with hammock and lounge chairs.

Villa 6 is an individual unit of nine hundred fifty square feet with a large Japanese Garden. It features a fully equipped kitchen with stove/oven and refrigerator/freezer. The Villa is furnished with a king size bed, large sofa, dining area, and balcony with lounge chairs and hammock.

Villa 7 is nestled into the jungle mountainside adjacent to the pool, perfect for monkey sighting. It is a one bedroom suite featuring a separate bedroom with king size bed and living space with large sofa, dining area, and a fully equipped kitchen.

Villa 8 Is an individual unit of nine hundred and fifty square feet with a large Japanese garden. It features a fully equipped kitchen with a stove, oven and refrigerator/freezer. The Villa is furnished with two queen size beds, large sofa, dining area and balcony with lounge chairs and hammock.

Studio 9 Is located directly below Villa 8. It features a fully equipped kitchenette, king size bed, sofa lounge chairs, air conditioning and a terrace with a hammock.
